Auburn Police arrest man for charges associated with theft of property

Auburn, Ala. - On June 5, 2024, Auburn Police arrested Jimmy Esteven-Urbina Fernandez, age 20, residing in Auburn, Alabama, on felony warrants charging him with unlawfully breaking and entering into a vehicle and theft of property second degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of an auto burglary on May 29, 2024. Police met with a victim who reported that a suspect unlawfully entered a vehicle and stole property while the vehicle was parked at a location in Auburn, sometime during the month of May 2024.

Jimmy Esteven-Urbina Fernandez was developed as a suspect, and after further investigation, arrest warrants were obtained. Fernandez was located by Auburn Police on June 6, and he was placed under arrest in obedience to the warrants.

Fernandez was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on an $6,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
